Sand

Key moment
I've re-scaped Nimbus' tank with sand and inert Fluval aqua-soil. His plants weren't doing great and he was always busy picking at the bottom for things. Now I can see what he's picking at and clean it more readily when it's gunky. I added another dr
Observation

Betta bed

I absolutely adore coming in to Nimbus's room in the morning and seeing him dozing in his little Betta bed. It's so cute, whoever invented this idea deserves a prize! I might add a little Christmas moss inside of it so he can have a softer bed. I not

Problem

Frog bit melt

I've notice the frogbit roots gathering algae or gunk and 'melting' off. I believe the air stone I added to the tank has added too much movement to the water. Will be removing it.
Problem

Black algae

Still having the black beard algae problem on the frog bit and the java fern. Covered the tank with a towel to inhibit light growth. Nimbus isn't happy about it 😅...
Problem

Plant removal

I removed the Ludwigia. It was surging the Black Beard algae population.
