Thanks! I was actually really resistant to the whole c02 idea for a long time, mostly because I’d heard so many horror stories from people and it seemed like such a difficult thing to set up. I got the c02 system for my other tank about 3 months ago though, and it turned out really well. So I upgraded this one as well. I’ve been using these little desktop systems from “NovAbyss” on Amazon which I think are just cheaper knockoffs of the Fluval desktop nano system. They’re probably the easiest way to do this since it’s an all inclusive system and pretty easy to use. The only thing that really becomes tricky is monitoring PH and KH, since it tends to drop PH badly without adequate buffering. But once that’s fixed it’s super easy and I think it’s worth the hassle.
