Diatom algae cleared up
All of the diatom algae has cleared itself out and while I’m fighting green algae now it’s much more manageable than the diatom

More root tabs.
When i initially set up the tank I only added 4 root tabs however it’s recommended to use 12 in a 20 gallon so I added a bunch more so the plants have all the nutrients they need.
Solution
Added some Nerites!
Today a clean up crew is joining the tank! I’ve added four nerite snails to help with the algae and keep it under control.
Problem
Diatom algae
Been having problems with diatom algae mostly on my big rocks but most noticeably on the white path streaking through the middle of the tank.

I added some c02 tabs to help the plants outcompete algae for nutrients. Not that algae has been a problem in this tank as of yet.

Added a new light
Added a new, much more powerful light to to tank. It should help the plants flourish, keep algae at bay, and help the fish see a good bit better in the tank. It’ll also help my visibility which can aid in early diagnosis of any problems that may aris…

Seeded filter.
I attempted to seed the filter with the proper bacteria it’s been struggling to develop so I rinsed off my filter media from the court of sapphire into the tiger pit and rubbed it off into the filter media ad well just to try and help boost it throug…

Added rocks.
I added some tall rocks to add some hiding places and to break up lines of sight in the tank to help curb any potential aggression that may arise, however so far they have been surprisingly peaceful.

General update
I haven’t been as on top of logging Param updates but where as the tank is now fully stocked I will keep up on it from here on out. Another good note is the tigerbarbs wont stay in this tank permanently. Once they size up a bit I intend to upgrade
