moved my co2 diffuser
i saw that the longer the bubbles are suspended in the water the better they diffuse so i moved it very close to the substrate.

plant holes and root trimming
the large leaf with holes was trimmed off a few days ago and since then its been fine. the roots of the ficus pumila were getting big and ugly so i cut them back a bit and tucked them behind the spider wood.

It was getting in the way of the light and looked messy. its in my outdoor pond for now.

Problem
Holes on plants
there are holes forming on my plants which im hoping was the dragonfly nymph but it could also be a potassium deficiency. i will get my water tested and keep a close eye on it to see if there are any more nymphs or holes.

I wedged the roots into the driftwood near the top and tied the stem to the driftwood coming out of the tank at different spots to make the top of the tank more interesting.

everyday I'm gradually decreasing the photoperiod by an hour until im at 8 hours and increasing the wattage by 1 watt on my light to try and keep the algae growth down.
