Today we saw a baby shrimp! Very excited. On a sad note, one of our mothers passed away. She was old. Circle of like happening in the tank in real time. Gorgeous

The plants seem to be thriving now, root tabs have been a huge help! I’ve noticed the shrimp are out more as well

Second momma shed her babies. Or gave birth and I can’t see them.

One shrimp lost her eggs due to molting, she was a first time momma, so this was expected. Other momma is still berried, waiting for shrimplets soon!

Did a water top off as it is very hot and evaporation is accelerated

Co2 tabs were added to the tank to help plant growth

New light
A new light was added to the tank today. It is stronger and should give the plants a better chance to flourish. I also took the top off the tank to allow more light to hit the plants.

I have a Marina S 15 in my ten gallon tank. Working amazingly.

Mini ramshorn snails
I have noticed around 6-7 mini ramshorn snails in the tank. They are quite small and hard to see but I am noticing more everyday!

Two pregnant shrimp
Two of our shrimps are berried up! Very excited. They are healthy with regular molts

Tank fully cycled

Today the tank had 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite meaning it filling cycled! All plants, shrimp and fish are doing amazing

Added shrimp wood to the tank
Key moment
Acacia wood was added to the tank after boiling to remove the tannin and add places for the shrimp to hide as well as adding a piece of shrimp wood.

Two plants added to the tank
Key moment
Two new plants were added to the tank. One is called lilaeopsis brasiliensis the other is hygrophila pinnatifida. Both fish and shrimp seem to be responding well to the new greenery

Shrimp molting
Noticed that the shrimp have been molting, I see a molt at least once a week.

GH and KH
Shells were added to increase GH and KH in tank. One of the yellow shrimp were lost to the Tetras, I believe it was to small. Air stone remains in tank for added oxygen

And airstone was added for extra oxygen and pothos with health roots were also added to the tank as well
