One guppy baby!

So I just looked in the tank and found ONE baby guppy. There are probably more but I am excited

Today I finished the pathway in the gorge! Sun bleached shells (that I thoroughly cleaned before adding) they look great but the guppies are rude and still keep throwing the path around🤣 may have to continue filling it in but it looks great!

I don’t know why the red shrimp passed away. The water parameters are amazing and GH was slightly low but is now raised. Very saddened by the losses

I added crushed coral to the filter to increase my GH and KH for the guppies & shrimp.

I assumed both my red shrimp had passed but both are alive and happy!

Guppies
Three male fancy guppies and six female guppies were added to the guppy gorge today!!! The men shall be named Sanji, Zoro and Luffy.

Shrimp back home
Reintroducing the shrimp today, acclimating them to the water by dripping some from the new tank into their cup that I have them in. Everyone seems to be doing good! Very exciting day for the guppy gorge. Getting guppies as well!

Reintroducing the shrimp
0 nitrite and 0 ammonia! Shrimp will be returning to their home tomorrow! GH is slightly lower than what I want but that is a fairly easy fix.

Shrimp removed. Nitrite spike.
I removed all shrimp due to a nitrite and nitrate spike. We lost one red crystal :( very sad day. I believe it was due to the bio stratum substrate.

Driftwood added to the tank :) looks very nice :) added distilled water to lower the KH and PH. Stones will be added after boiling them.

Shrimp day
Today I added 2 golden strip shrimp, 2 red shrimp and 5 crystal red shrimp all neocardinians. I also added plants to the tanks and bio active substrate underneath my inter substrate.

On Friday I am going to get some Fluval bio substrate for the plants as well As finally pick up some shrimp for the tank. Im thinking ten shrimp total with 8 guppies.

Removed plants due to poor growth. Going to add root tabs and try again

Cycling nearing the end
The ammonia is gone already and the nitrite is at 0.4, should be ready for shrimp in a day or two!

Cycle beginning
The ammonia hit 0.25 today, marking the start of the cycle. Should be ready for shrimp and plants next. Nitrate very low. Going to continue to monitor and test ever other day

I have ghost fed the tank twice now to allow the ammonia cycle to begin.

Ideas
I’m thinking of adding 8 guppies. Three males and five females. I’m going to add 5 shrimp as well. First I am going to add the five shrimp and some plants to let them get established first, then the guppies

I rubbed the filter from my existing tank that has already been cycled for over a month to help speed up the process
