Gill Check Reminder
Monitor Pep's gills over the next 2–3 weeks. Gills appeared smaller and some stuck — possible heat stress from temps reaching 66–68°F before chiller installation. Chiller now holding at 62–64°F. Watch for signs of recovery or further regression.
Problem
Noticing some changes
Water was getting warm this last part of summer 66 - 68 F. Ice bottles are difficult to change when at work, so I bought and installed a chiller last night. Noticing Pep's gills are smaller today. Could it be because of heat? Stress?
