Of my tanks, I have one general tank, one biotope, and one culture. If you keep more than one type of livestock, how did you decide on yours? Was it random?

How do you choose livestock for your tank?

I only have shrimp in my tank, but in my previous tanks, I look at the livestocks bioload, compatibility with tank mates, and compatibility with my tank overall. The second thing I look for is a fish with colors that will go well with my tank. There are so many different species, you’re bound to find something that works!
