Its my first tank, have a 30 gallon. So far I have a school of (11) black phantom tetras, (6) sterbai corys and (4) guppies. I originally had 6 guppies so they have not fared great so far and no babies yet. I also have 3 mystery snails, 2 nerites, 1 white wizard snail and 10 blue velet shrimp. I REALLY enjoy the snails/shrimp and when it comes to the fish definitely watching the sterbai corys the most. So I definitely lean towards more goofy personality and activity, unique colors, etc. I'm curious what anyone would recommend I add next? I think I'm basically contemplating adding 1-2 for a centerpiece or possibly an additional school instead of a centerpiece to complement the upper column. I'd love to see something that schools very tightly and is also vibrant and eye-catching. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts or species suggestions, thanks!

A unique breed of betta is always a good centerpiece. I'm pretty partial to Samurai or Aliens, as they have absolutely gorgeous colors, plus Bettas have a ton of personality and are always active. If you Don't want to take the risk of an agressive betta, Dwarf or Honey Guaramis are also really pretty centerpiece fish.
