Do you use root tabs or water column fertilizer or both? What kinds of plants do you tend to? Have you noticed anything strange about any particular plant that maybe you didn't know about before?

I've been using Thrive liquid fertilizer for shrimp. Seems ok, but I am just getting started. I did not initially use root tabs because I used active substrate, but I will add them to my heavier root feeders, including Amazon Sword and hairgrass.

I use flourish seachem for my planted shrimp tank, and the plants love it! They are doing great and growing like crazy. This fertilizer is also great because it’s not harmful to shrimp in any way

I use Thrive Shrimp in my low-tech tanks and regular Thrive in my high-tech. All plants are thriving in all my tanks (Except variegated scarlet temple… nothing pleases that thing) I liked Aquarium Co-op Easy Green but the fact that’s only available through their website is a big turn off.(It takes like a week to get to me with regular shipping, and i will not pay extra in shipping for a fertilizer) In any case i have found that Thrive has better quality (less diluted for example, more bang for your buck) and more available products. And they have root-tabs that are an actual solid tab instead of those jelly caps that float out of the substrate if you didn’t squeeze the air out. They also have the jelly ones but i don’t know why anyone would prefer that. (ThriveTabs & ThriveCaps).
