Treatment

Increase fertilizer dosing, add root tabs, ensure adequate lighting and CO2 supplementation; test water parameters

Algae Overgrowth on Leaves

Symptoms

Green or brown algae coating leaf surfaces, reduced photosynthesis

Treatment

Reduce lighting duration to 8-10 hours daily, increase water changes, add algae-eating fish like Otocinclus, manually remove affected leaves

Leaf Melt

Rapid deterioration and dissolution of leaves, particularly new growth

Treatment

Improve water quality with frequent partial water changes, ensure stable temperature (23-28°C), reduce stress by avoiding sudden parameter changes
