Common Diseases
Nutrient Deficiency
Yellowing leaves, stunted growth, pale coloration, leaf holes
Dose with comprehensive liquid fertilizer containing macronutrients and micronutrients; ensure adequate lighting and CO2 availability
Algae Overgrowth
Green or brown algae coating leaves and roots, reduced light penetration
Increase water changes, reduce lighting duration to 8-10 hours daily, manually remove algae, introduce algae-eating fish like Otocinclus
Root Rot
Blackened or mushy roots, plant detachment from main body, decay spreading
Improve water circulation, perform frequent water changes, remove severely affected portions, ensure adequate nutrient levels
