Treatment

Increase fertilizer dosing with all-in-one liquid fertilizers and macronutrient supplements; ensure adequate CO2 and lighting

Algae Overgrowth

Symptoms

Green or brown algae coating on leaves, reduced light penetration, plant appears smothered

Treatment

Reduce lighting duration to 8-10 hours daily, increase water changes, add algae-eating shrimp or fish, and improve water circulation

Melting

Symptoms

Rapid leaf deterioration, mushy stems, plant appears to dissolve

Treatment

Improve water parameters (check pH and hardness), increase CO2 if available, perform frequent water changes, and trim affected portions

Slow Growth

Minimal new leaf development, small leaves, weak stem structure
