A small climbing aroid (not a true Monstera) grown emersed with its roots in the tank water and its split leaves climbing above, where it takes up nitrate as a living biofilter. Bright indirect light; a fast grower that roots readily in aquarium water and likes a moss pole or hardscape to climb.
Grown with its roots in the tank water and its leaves in the air — a living nitrate filter, not a submerged aquarium plant. Give it bright indirect light; no aquarium CO₂ or substrate needed.
Toxic if eaten — an aroid with insoluble calcium oxalate crystals; keep the foliage away from plant-grazing fish, submerged roots are fine.
